When a child needs medical care, staying close matters. Ronald McDonald House Central Illinois provides families with a comfortable place to stay near their child’s care, along with essential resources and support throughout their stay.
Peoria House
Eligibility
Families may be eligible to stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Peoria if they:
- Have a child aged 0-21 receiving medical care at a Peoria medical facility
- Anyone under age 18 staying at the House must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Live more than 20 miles from Peoria.
OR
- Are seeking accommodations for high-risk pregnancy care.
- Expectant mothers must be formally referred by their attending provider in Peoria.
- They must have someone aged 18 or older with them at all times.
All individuals aged 18 or older who will be staying at the House must complete a criminal background check.

Check availability. We are unable to guarantee reservations, and rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. While we make every effort to accommodate families, a room may not always be available.
Check in. All adults staying at the House must present a photo ID, complete the registration process and have successfully completed the required criminal background check.
Check out. Following a child’s discharge or final appointment, families should visit the front desk to complete the check-out process before leaving.
Returning Peoria Guests
If you completed the registration and referral process within the past six months, please call the Peoria House at 309-401-2525 to request another stay.
If it has been more than six months, please complete the Peoria registration process again.
Springfield House

Important Things to Know
- Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
- A family’s financial situation is not considered when requesting a room.
- Families may check in up to 24 hours before the child’s first appointment and stay up to 24 hours after the final appointment or discharge.
- Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome.
- Families receive one private room with a bed and bathroom. Bed linens and towels are provided.
- Families are expected to be respectful of other families, staff and volunteers.
- Families are asked to help keep shared spaces clean and tidy.
- The building and grounds are smoke-free. A designated smoking area is available outside.
- Alcohol, illegal drugs and weapons are not permitted.
- Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
